My passion
On a personal level making academic success achievable for all is my passion. Existing education systems do not allow for people to explore how best they work and to trial new ways to find, access, assess and use information. Cards against Procrastination are just one of the tools I have created to help you do this.My tips and tools are evidence based from my work supporting vets and vet nurses in education. In the veterinary field I am know as Jane RVN and have been writing for and supporting the community with a blog for 13 years, public speaking, teaching and publishing a Research and Study Skills book in 2018.
Taking that knowledge and making it available for all is how Cards against Procrastination began and in response to a friends text asking for study help. That made me realise that the tips in my head need to be more easily accessible to everyone – no need for books or apps or journalling. Just you and the cards and the helpful accessories.

Brain Scents
The Brain Scents method was developed from my personal use of aromatherapy to engage my brain. This is backed up by science as the olfactory system helps your brain link to your activities. I have designed 4 roller balls to work with Cards against Procrastination. Research shows that our brains use scents to work with emotional experiences and memory. The olfactory system is the only sense to work with the hippocampus, which is involved in associative learning.Personal use of roller balls mean you can use scents you like during learning and use these scents in exams or stressful situations to link to the calm and confident pathways in your brain.
